In the latest issue of Rolling Out Magazine, is talking about Tami Roman "total" person "BBW" producers are not shown on TV. She opens up about who she is "off camera" and how she wants to use his platform to Reality TV to make a difference. So she shows her vulnerable side and talk about the many economic difficulties, she feels as a single mother of two girls.
We need to get this issue off the road. Why did you "Basketball wives?" Well, I saw the first season of "Basketball Wives" and would only do the things I went through was not really represented at the exhibition. I had been a basketball wife, and now when I got divorced, things were not as golden as those portrayed on the show. I was not eating out and get manicures every day, and I was not drinking all night, every night. It was not my world, so for me, I felt like my individual history would be valuable.
There was a point in life where we fell into difficulties. After years of spending money and live through the people, I woke up one day and all the money was gone. I was at a historically low, I had to get on food stamps, I had to get medical help, and I cried a lot. But I realized that I did for myself by trying to live up to the pictures and try to live up to public opinion, rather than being true to myself.
